Mix word processing, computerized image editing, and a basic understanding of computer file/directory organization, and you will end up with something very close to what's needed to create webpages and websites.

Website creation is relatively easy to do once the basic skills and competencies are learned.  Thanks to recent developments in web-editing software programs such as Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver, you don't have to be a computer professional to create, build, and maintain websites.  Read through the following two pages to learn the fundamentals.

Follow this link to a page with sample websites and brief explanations on how they were created and some of the features they possess.

We will use Microsoft FrontPage to design our websites.   A good "how to" book to help you learn FrontPage is Master Visually FrontPage 2002 (ISBN #0-7645-3580-3).
