After a tremendous eight-year run, the HSU SIFE Team is currently taking a break.  In our first seven years, the team advanced to national competition each year and won awards at nationals in four of those seven years.

We were recognized in a SIFE recruiting video, hosted a leadership training conference, had a member recognized as a finalist for the prestigious Jack Shewmaker Scholarship, and had six students take jobs with SIFE sponsor companies.  We competed and succeeded against schools many times our size (e.g., Baylor, LSU, Texas Tech) and helped start teams at Wayland Baptist University, Howard Payne University, and Abilene Christian University.

The HSU SIFE team received more than $25,000 in prize and grant money.  Our team was instrumental in establishing an endowed scholarship in memory of Professor Tom Moritz at HSU with a $5,000 challenge grant--the letter of appeal was written by two former HSU SIFE presidents.
