SIFE Mobile Computer Lab

Want small group computer training?

Since its founding on the HSU campus in 1999, the HSU SIFE team has spread the message of free enterprise to thousands of people in and around Abilene through dozens of economics and business education projects.

  
What is SIFE?

SIFE is a worldwide student movement devoted to educating people about business and free enterprise. Through educational outreach projects, teams help impart some of the competencies and skills needed by individuals to succeed in the business world.

SIFE teams are currently on more than 1,800 college campuses in more than 40 countries around the world. More than 160 corporations support SIFE by providing resources and prize money, recruiting SIFE students, and serving on the SIFE Board of Directors and as judges at regional, national, and international competitions.


HSU SIFE Accomplishments

In the spring of each year, SIFE teams across the world summarize the projects they have performed over the past school year into 24-minute multimedia presentations. Teams from the United States go to one of approximately 17 regional competitions across the country.

In its first seven years of competition, the HSU SIFE team has been named regional champion and advanced to the SIFE National Exposition in Kansas City, Missouri. In four of its first seven years, HSU SIFE received awards at the SIFE National Exposition.
